YOU ask, we listen! Following a great discussion in our Facebook Slimpod Club community last week, we’ll be launching on October 30th a 30-day drive to Drop a Size In Time For The Christmas Partying!
In Slimpod Club between now and October 30th I’ll be suggesting several new healthy habits on which you can focus for just 30 days. Easy!
The 30-day challenge is for men and women and will be really simple. All you need to do is choose just two things to focus on and then commit to doing them every day during November. We will run special groups to enable you to hold each other accountable.
Here are some thoughts, but please add your suggestions to the comments below, too, because this is all about your journey and implementing small changes in your life.
With your Slimpod helping you, committing to a couple of the suggestions below will be very easy!
* Reduce the sugar and refined carbs in your daily diet.
* Reduce alcohol.
* Do a certain number of steps every day.
* Do squats every day.
* If you suffer from stress, practise mindfulness or meditation every day.
* Do the Pioppi or Blood Sugar diet for 30 days (and before you scream at me – they’re not really diets, they’re recipes based on proper food with no sugar or refined carbs and are really, really good for you!)
* Drink more water each day.
Naturally we will also be asking you to listen to your pods every day. I’ll be pitching in with a video here and there giving you support and advice.
So let’s get this moving and be all set for October 30th! I’m thinking it would be a great idea for you to identify an outfit you’d like to feel comfortable in for Christmas and have that as a goal. What do you think?!
Weight loss is not a one size fits all – we can all choose our individual path and then work together to achieve it!

Sounds great – I’m up for that!
Go for it!
Im all set. Bring it on.
Great!
Perfect!
Have a slight problem as unable to do squats, due to having knee replacement surgery on both knees, do you have any alternative suggestions?
I’m in, do I join the Facebook group as I haven’t yet, definitely cut down on refined carbs and sugars, something nice with a cup of tea is my downfall, so that would be a good goal for me
Sounds great, would love to do this.
Sounds fantastic! Just what I need to be able to get into my lovely dress!
Go for it Wilma!
Yes I am definitely on board for that
Great Sue!
Sounds wonderful – I’m in! Thank you
Welcome Diane!
Yes I’m in – any excuse to try and shift some weight
Great Steve!
Great idea. I’m in.
Well done Wendy!
Yes I’m up for that as it’s just in time for my Xmas holidays in Australia and I need to be kick started again
Good stuff Annmarie! Try combining your Slimpod with the Blood Sugar or 5:2. Some people at the hospital are doing this for a few weeks. Intermittent fasting is clinically proven it’s just that people get too hungry and can’t stick to it. Slimpod makes it possible because you’re not so hungry. Worth a try perhaps?!
I’m in. Will need lots of support tho ?
You’ll get plenty of support in Slimpod Club Frances. ?
Hi, I haven’t done squats for years and yesterday was the first time I did a few, I’m going to try and incorporate this exercise daily along with my steps and crunch’s, hopefully this with some common sense eating will help to achieve the target by xmas
Regards,
Joe
Great plan Joe!
Bring it on!!. I have got my slimboots on. Looking forward to starting the challenge.
?
Yes sounds great… count me in…x
Great news Penny!

You CAN get into Audrey! Make sure you post a pic when you do!
A good idea, I need some motivation.
?
Yes great idea don’t know what to focus on though all of the above I genuinely do all the time anyway , always eat clean have done for a few years now walk every day yes I could do more steps I’m doin 3 20 minute hit sessions a week have done for the last 3 weeks if I want sweet I usually have fruit and nuts ( handful almonds ) or couple of squares of dark chocolate , I’m definitely noticed changes with slimpod ie leaving food wen full feeling more motivated feeling confident and loving not being on a diet BUT still not lost weight and that’s not weighing because I hate the sad step but in my clothes and measurements it’s just not moving ? which I do think is strange anyway yes I’m up for the challenge xx
You can get there Carol!
Yep I know eventually , looked into the hormone imbalance definitely going to do that as well , thank you x

Great idea. Definitely will give it a go.
Great stuff Janet!
I already do those things except for squats which i can’t as i have M.E.
Hope it works for others
Do you walk Bridget?
Hi sandra yes on the treadmill. I find the handles help me balance & the belt helps me keep going whereas on normal ground i really struggle & have a stick or a wheelchair. It also helps if you don’t come flying off as i did a few weeks ago ?
Sounds great!! Definitely what I need.
?
Great Liz.
Looking forward to the challenge kick starting me. Always feel doing it as a group makes you commit.Liz
Sounds really good timing as I am in need of motivation.
I’m in for it. Definitely worth having a go. Desperate to get a dress size down
Sounds great. Count me in. Thanks! x
Welcome Susie ??
Sounds great. I’ve had my slimpod materials sitting unlistened to for a month waiting for the ‘right’ moment. This is a reasonable and realistic challenge. Thanks for kick starting me!
Welcome ?
Hi Sandra, I thought the blood sugar diet was a VLCD with only 800 calories a day and almost guaranteed to make you feel hungry a lot of the time. It seems the very antithesis of the Slimpod way.
Hey Elaine, thanks so much for your comment. The Slimpod is a very versatile tool and you can use it on its own or to complement other things. Because you notice yourself wanting less food and being far less hungry when you’re on a Slimpod – it makes it far easier to follow the recipes and guidance in Michael Moseley’s Blood Sugar and/or 5:2 systems. Listening to the Slimpod means you don’t need willpower and you shouldn’t be hungry. I know people who have done the two things with great success. Obviously this is just one of the suggestions I’m making for people who might like to give it a try. When it comes to losing weight – nothing is going to suit everyone so we’re giving suggestions on things you can do as an individual to enhance your chances of dropping a size in 30days. If you would prefer not to follow the suggestions in the blog then that’s absolutely fine – we’d love you to add more to the list. Hope that helps. Sx
Sounds good but I will stick with a cousin of the Bloods Sugar Diet , the Clever Gut approach (same author – Michael Mosley) which also cuts out sugar and includes loads of fresh veg and fruit. I take a little more low GI carbs on the days I do a HIIT session (ie alternate days, the other days I do resistance training that also builds muscle in upper body as my shoulders and arms are looking a little untoned).
Perfect Liz! I will put that up as a suggestion in the poll we’re creating! Thank you!
That’s a fab idea Thankyou for the support
No probs Linda! ?
Yes, I’m in please
Go for it Freda ?
Please include me, I need some motivation and support to get back on-track !
Enjoy the journey!
Brilliant I’m in

Sounds a great idea and will give me something to focus on!
A really great idea, I will join in, need a lot of motivation.
Great!
I would love to join this challenge. Sign me up please.
Is there anyone in the Lincoln City Oregon area?
Email customerservices@thinkingslimmer.com to be part of Slimpod Club. You can then ask if anyone is from your town. ?
I’m in! (Or at least, I will be once I’ve signed up to the FB group ???….)
Cool!
Me, me , please
Hi
I think this is a great idea . The special outfit goal is perfect. However, I really struggle with dieting as I have a demanding job so despite trying to get 8 hrs sleep. I always resort to eating sweets and chops for comfort. I don’t know how to stop. I turned 63 in September , I would liove to lose a stone as this would help my tiredness and overall health. Do you have any ideas that would help me with stopping my comfort eating? Please. I do listen to my pods but this is not enough when I am so tired.
Sounds like you need to look after yourself Sallie. If stress and the busyness of life is making you comfort eat, look at ways you can cut down on the stress. In turn you’ll end the comfort eating…
Fab!
Great idea….I think I’m better when I have to be accountable as discovered that with Lisa’s squat challenge!
Yes I love being accountable too!
I will join in too. Keeps me motivated
Fab!
I’m in I’m starting strength training three times a week plus my 10000 steps a day can’t wait thank you .
Welcome! Great stuff!
Great idea . Just the input I need at this time of the year.
Go for it!
Yes I need this !!!!
Great!
Yes, I’m in. How to start?
You can be part of the FB community or simply do it yourself by making one or two small changes each day.
Yes, this sounds really good to me. I don’t have much weight to lose but I would like it gone before Christmas! I already do 10,000 steps a day and don’t drink alcohol, but sadly I have had a chocolate raisin binge this evening and am feeling very remorseful so I think reducing sugar and refined carbs and squats will be the way forward for me.
Great! Well done!
I commit to reduce alcohol, drink more water & increase activity!
We’ll done Martina! Great idea!
Any to follow along for those of us who aren’t on Facebook?
You can incorporate these small changes into your life Bonnie. No need to be on FB
Great idea. I do need some motivation, I’ll try to increase my activities asI must admit to being a bit lazy with exercise.
Look at your eating too Catherine. How about limiting your refined carbs for 30 days?
Yes, I’ll give it a try Sandra.
Yes I am on board for this.
?
I love it Sandra….. Ireally really want to achieve this.
Go for it Lisa!
Great idea. But can we have exercises which also take into account that some of us post menopausal ladies can’t do crunches etc due to pelvic floor weaknesses like cystocels etc.
Make a commitment to yourself to do those special exercises three times a week at a certain time of the day…
Sorry which exercises are you referring to?
There’s quite a lot of exercise you can do. Squats, hiit, walking etc
Thank you for your reply
Great just what I need to reboot!
?
great idea, just what I need . would love to do this
????
Yes I would like to try that. Perhaps cutting right back on refined sugar and trying to get a mindfulness practice in each day in November. Sounds great.
Great plan Fiona!
Me too! What a good idea . . . .
Go for it Lee!
Brilliant idea Sandra
?
I think this is a great idea and would love to join in with this and drop a size for Christmas. However I am not on facebook!? I have a couple of lovely evening dresses that I would like to fit into again so lets go for it!!!!
No need to be on FB. Easy peasy. Just choose something you want to focus on and do it every day for 30 days
Sounds good. The one thing I have to focus on is continuing. I miss a day and this thats it, wont work now. My pointers would be listen every day, walk a little bit more and organise my meals.
Fab. Set an alarm to listen every day.
Yes please count me in.
?
I’m in! X
Oops…. it says my comment is too short to post so I’ll add this meaningless sentence,…
Let’s do it, I’ll all ready and eager! 🙂
Well done! Go for it!
I’m in, I really need to do this.
I’m in and going to get some skinny jeans a size smaller
Go you!
I aim to do squats every day and to drink more water.
Well done you!
Yes need to drink more water and do the daily squats…
These are good suggestions. I’m on board! I’m not familiar with the Pioppi or Blood Sugar diet but I will research it because they will especially help me.
I’m on the verge of joining but reading through the blog comments people are still talking about “dieting”. I’ve just read the e-book that suggests dieting is the root cause of the problem. Please clarify.
Thank you
Hi Jo, there is no eating plan when you’re on a Slimpod Programme. Your brain is gently retrained and nudged towards healthy food so you choose this in preference to the unhealthy food. We do give some healthy eating advice within the programme but that’s it. There’s no dieting involved. Slimpod is very versatile though and some people discover it’s useful with some healthy eating plans and SW etc but that’s up to them because all we care about really is you getting results as an individual. No two people are the same. Hope that helps.
I’m in, do I join the Facebook group as I haven’t yet, definitely cut down on refined carbs and sugars, something nice with a cup of tea is my downfall, so that would be a good goal for me
Fab idea – I really need to reign my sweet tooth in and try and ditch the chocolate so I may approach November a bit like lent and try and cut out the chocolate.
Please send me the info ?
Would love to try the 30day challenge
What are the Pioppi or blood sugar diets
Am I too late to join ?
