December Podder of the Month: Liz!

Every month, we celebrate someone from our community who quietly uplifts others, shares their wisdom, and reminds us of what’s possible. This month, that person is Liz.

If you’ve spent time in our new Slimpod community, you’ve probably seen her warm words of encouragement—always ready with advice, humour, or a gentle nudge of support. Liz is one of those people who shows up—not just for herself, but for others. And we couldn’t be more thrilled to recognise her this December.

A Lifetime of Dieting… Until Now

Liz describes herself as a “professional yo-yo dieter and binge eater for over 60 years.” Like so many, she joined Slimpod not to chase a number on the scales—but to find peace.

She’d already lost over 3 stone before joining us, but as she says herself, “I hadn’t learnt to eat healthily or listen to my body and only eat when hungry. Slimpod has taught me this and so much more.”

That “so much more” is the part that gives me goosebumps.

Because this isn’t just about food—it’s about freedom.

For Liz, freedom now looks like waking up without wondering which diet to start. It looks like hula hooping and walking every day. It looks like peace of mind, consistency, and a quiet confidence that only comes from deep inner change.

The Power of Consistency

One of the things I admire most about Liz is her consistency. She has an incredible 800-day streak—and counting! That kind of commitment doesn’t come from perfection or willpower. It comes from learning to trust yourself.

“I’ve never been this consistent with anything before,” she says. “After 60 years of binge eating, I never thought I’d be able to stop… I’m quite proud of myself!”

And rightly so. Consistency is key. It’s not about going fast—it’s about not giving up.

Liz reminds us all that small daily actions, stacked gently over time, are how the biggest transformations happen.

At Peace in Her 70s

Now approaching her 75th birthday, Liz has one goal: “To stay as fit and healthy as possible.” It’s simple. It’s powerful. And it’s a beautiful reminder that our goals don’t have to be complicated to be meaningful.

She is living proof that change is possible at any age. That it’s never too late to stop the dieting cycle, to tune into your body, and to feel at home in yourself.

Her words say it all:
“At 74, after over 50 years of binge eating, I feel at peace with myself.”

Liz, You Inspire Us

Liz, thank you for showing us what consistency, kindness, and patience with yourself can look like. Thank you for being such a supportive, positive presence in our new community. You remind us daily that true transformation is always possible—and that the best changes often happen on the inside.

We’re so excited to be starting a new chapter in our brand-new Slimpod community space, and Liz has already made her mark there. If you haven’t explored it yet, head over to slimpodmembers.com then go to menu > Slimpod Community—it’s where all the magic is happening.

And don’t forget: I’ll be hosting my first live in the new space on Wendesday the 10th December. I’d love for you to join me as we wrap up the year together with reflection, celebration, and a little bit of fun too.

Never give up.
