There’s something very special that happens when people choose to uplift each other. And it’s never been clearer than in our Slimpod community. It radiates warmth, support and a quiet strength that so many people are searching for when they start this journey.
Podder of the month
Celebrating our Podders is my favourite part of the month. Not because of the before-and-afters or the kilos lost (though we do cheer those too!)—but because of the kindness. The everyday, generous acts of support that show up in the comments, in a quiet word, in a shared win.
This month, we’re spotlighting someone who embodies all of that.
Kate.

If you’ve spent any time in our Slimpod Club, you’ll probably know exactly who I’m talking about. Kate is that little flash of sunshine in your notifications—dropping in with encouragement, wit, and warmth, always lifting others with her presence. She’s also got a knack for sharing snaps of her glorious garden, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels brighter after seeing them.
But it’s not just her positivity that’s worth celebrating. It’s the consistency. The showing up. Even now, as she’s in the maintenance stage of her journey, she’s still right there, cheering others on. That, to me, is the definition of success. Not just what’s changed on the outside, but how much heart she brings to others.
Kate recently shared a post that stopped me in my tracks:
“So chuffed I can get into my size 10 Weird Fish jacket that I haven’t worn for about 15 years! It’s one of the things I couldn’t bring myself to throw away. So glad I didn’t.”
22kg down. Confidence up. But what shines most isn’t the number. It’s the joy. The quiet reminder that real change doesn’t come from restriction or rules—it comes from freedom, from feeling good in your skin and believing you’re worth that feeling. We all have that one item of clothing we just can’t seem to part with. Let Kate’s story be the inspiration and the motivation to help you stick with making lasting changes.
Kate also reminded us how helpful it is to track your goals visually. She celebrated her jean progress in the most down-to-earth way—and it struck a chord with so many.

So here’s your invitation: Pause and reflect. How are your goals going? Is there something small you can notice and celebrate today? And if you’re feeling a little stuck, you might find this recent blog on goal-setting helpful (linked here).
Here’s what one fellow Podder said about Kate:
“ She is without a doubt one of the most postive, energetic podders – always there with a word of encouragement, and a lot of humour too! She inspires me because although she is now in the “maintenance” stage of her journey, she still takes the time to encourage others and help other podders.”
And that’s exactly it.
Kate, thank you for being a light in this community. We’re all better for it.
Podders – has someone supported you this month?
Let us know! You can nominate the next Podder of the Month here—we’d love to celebrate them, just as we’ve celebrated Kate.
