Lorraine’s journey began in a dark place. “To the outside world, I probably looked happy and comfortable in my own skin, but I was thoroughly miserable,” she revealed. Struggling with depression and anxiety, she felt trapped in a cycle of isolation and emotional eating. Food became her solace, her “only friend.”
She painted a picture of life “lived in black,” cancelling social plans because she felt “fat and ugly,” and avoiding mirrors and photos. The turning point came during a difficult moment: her 30-year marriage ended. Though the choice to walk away was hers, she was left feeling incomplete. This void was filled with food—until one day, a Facebook ad for Slimpod caught her eye.
