As I sit down to write this, I find it hard to believe that the Big Day is nearly here again. Isn’t it amazing how the year seems to speed up towards the end? I hope you’ve had moments to pause and reflect on everything you’ve achieved, no matter how small it may seem.
Christmas can bring up all sorts of emotions—joy, excitement, and sometimes even a touch of overwhelm. Whether you’re gathering with loved ones or enjoying some quiet time on your own, I hope this season brings you a sense of peace and gratitude. And if things feel a little messy or imperfect, that’s okay too—Christmas isn’t about being perfect; it’s about connection, with others and with yourself.
BUT I also know Christmas can feel like a whirlwind of temptation with all the mince pies, chocolates, and party nibbles calling your name. This time of year often stirs up anxieties about “undoing all the good work,” and I’ve seen this worry crop up in our Facebook community too. It doesn’t have to be like that.

Happy Christmas to all the Slimpod team. For the first time in maybe 20 years my New Year’s Resolution will not be “I must loose weight!”. I’ve lost most of what I need to loose since joining slimpod in Jan 2024, without thinking about dieting, restricting the foods I eat. Most days I just naturally make better choices and eat a bit less! And on the days I don’t, I just forget about it and enjoy whatever I eat. Slimpod has been a game changer for me. merry Christmas and sincere best wishes to the whole Slimpod Team from a sweltering Mandurah, Western Australia. I am looking forward to enjoying the festive season eating and drinking what I desire but being mindful and savouring everything that passes my lips. I’m genuinely looking forward to starting the new year with my new mindset. My NEAT tip is to do a 20 min yoga session 4 times a week minimum. It sets me up for the day and gently stretches my body which in turn gives me the boost I need to find ways to improve my movement, such as parking at the far end of the carpark when I go the the shopping centre. Doing this adds approximately another 600 steps to my trip 🙂 every little helps

Thank you Sandra, this is a great pod to add to my screen. I’ve already noticed a difference in my attitude towards the whole Xmas holiday. More relaxed around the food & drink, don’t feel the need to buy all the treats and goodies pushed my. This is huge for me! I’m so steeped in tradition from my parents, the need to carry it all on was a big thing for me. This year, I want a change, I don’t want to sail into 2025 thinking about how I’m going to ‘lose the weight I gained’ it feels different this year, I’m different too. I’m looking forward to a lovely meal but not continually stuffing myself and feeling ill. This is the more relaxed version of me, surrounded by my family and enjoying their company.
