Podder of the Month: Nic!

Podder of the Month is always one of my favourite parts of the newsletter — because it captures the heart of what makes our community so powerful. It’s not just about weight loss or mindset change. It’s about real people sharing real stories, lifting others up simply by being themselves.

This month, I’m delighted to celebrate Nic — someone who’s become such a positive presence in the Slimpod family.

Whether she’s encouraging others in the group, celebrating a small win, or just showing up honestly with her highs and lows, Nic brings warmth and strength to everything she shares. Her journey has been one of quiet confidence, mindset shifts, and truly inspirational change.

Nic has gently let go of habits that once felt impossible to break.

She used to snack every evening after dinner — crisps, chocolate, whatever was to hand. Now, she finds that if she wants a snack after dinner, she genuinely preferring lighter choices like fruit, yoghurt or nuts. And not because she “has to” — but because her brain no longer reaches for food on autopilot.

Chocolate used to be her go-to. Now? She hasn’t touched a bar in weeks — because she just doesn’t fancy it.

She goes to the gym three times a week — something she never imagined herself doing. She’s also navigated a huge life change by leaving a job she’d been in for 7 years and stepping into a new role at a doctor’s surgery with confidence and belief in herself.

And her body has shifted too. She’s gone from a size 20 to a size 16 and has lost 1st 5.5lbs — but even more powerful is how she feels in her skin. Empowered. Calm. Free.

She summed it up so well:

“I’m still a work in progress and have my dodgy days, but Slimpod has taught me how to navigate those days.”

And that’s the truth of it, isn’t it? No perfection. Just progress.

Nic reminds us that real change is possible — not by following strict rules or punishing ourselves, but by rewiring how we think and feel about food, our bodies, and our choices.

Nic, we’re so proud of you. You’re showing so many others what’s possible when we stop dieting and start trusting ourselves again. Thank you for your honesty, your heart, and your constant encouragement to others. 💛
